Western Rubber Products, Inc. was established on October 1, 2001. The facility was designed and built on over six acres of land in Emmett, Idaho to manufacture Air Brake Diaphragms that are unsurpassed in quality and dependability.

The history of Western Rubber Products began eight years ago, but it’s true foundation began over fifty years ago, as the owners and officers started their careers in the design and manufacturing of commercial vehicle OEM and aftermarket products.

Don Rumsey, owner and CEO, started his long career in the field of commercial air brakes and their component parts in the mid 1950’s. He innovated and started manufacturing the Anchorlok brake system in 1959. He is also the designer of the Black Max braking system. These accomplishments are just a few of the many qualifications Don brought with him when he built Western Rubber Products, Inc.

Western Rubber Products involvement with ISO has been instrumental in leading our company to a commitment of maintaining and continuously improving our Quality Management System. The Quality Management System controls the processes and interactions from order entry through shipment to our customers. This system controls the production capacity of over 80,000 air brake diaphragms a week or over 4,000,000 per year from our facility.
